Project title: "GlassDeep - an innovative glass insert for underwater windows"
Grant agreement no: POIR.01.01.01-00-0778/17 15.03.2018
Project summary:
The subject of the project is the development and implementation of GlassDeep technology, which is a breakthrough and innovative solution in the construction of windows for underwater facilities. The innovation in the project is the use of mineral glass as a raw material for the construction of the window glass part. As part of the GlassDeep project, we plan to carry out industrial research and development works which will result in the implementation of windows intended for underwater facilities into market production:
- floating underwater facilities, such as in particular passenger ships, yachts, tourist submarines, etc;
- immovable underwater facilities, such as in particular underwater hotels, tourist and research facilities, diving bases, underwater military facilities, etc.
The work programme envisaged in the project assumes testing of underwater window models and prototypes in laboratory conditions, similar to the real ones and in two size variants:
- round windows with a glass insert diameter of 1200 mm
- rectangular windows with glass insert replacements 1200 mm x2200 mm.
The project is implemented on the basis of the decision received on 22.05.2017 from the Polish Patent Office (UP RP PATENT) on the invention entitled: Contribution to the window of underwater objects P.406990. The owner of the patent is Proteh Glassdeep Sp. z o.o.
Project implementation period: 2018.03.01 – 2020.12.31
The total cost of the Project implementation is: 6 257 074,88 zł
The contribution of the European Funds: 4 717 295,22 zł
The project is co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund within the Intelligent Development Programme. The project is implemented as part of the National Centre for Research and Development competition: The Fast Path.
